The gf moved into a new flat with a satellite. I hooked up her cheap dse freeview box and it worked fine for a week.

At some point it stopped working for no apparent reason. Now it just says no signal, optus d1, 12483.

I have no experience with freeview, is there anything easy I can try to fix it?

(It seems to be the satellite, but my idea was to try and borrow another freeview box before getting someone in to check the satellite..)

You have the right idea. You should try another Freeview satellite box first on your dish or try your box on another dish first. If it was working before and you are sure the settings haven't been changed, the most likely thing that has failed would be the lnb. The old oval sky ones have a habit of going off frequency when they are hot. The only other possibilities are the cable and any splitters that might be in circuit could have bad connections or the dish may have moved off target.

It's unlikely to be the decoder unless the settings have been altered.

don't mess with me.... i'm the hd insider....
