Hi everyone.

My sister bought a Zinwell Freeview Satellite receiver as part of a liquidation auction on Trademe.

DOA but she didn't follow up. It appears a dead power supply. No problem. Using one I have here after approx 60 secs (no DVB-s connected) I get the following screen, before it goes into standby

Leaving it be for well over 10 mins shows no change.

Seems like a stuck corrupt software image? Does anyone have ideas how to correct this (other than a sledgehammer) ;-)

You are probably right about corrupted image.
Zinwells were supplied by NEXT electronics who went into receivership (are they still around?).
I dont think the software was ever available on the net otherwise I would say reflash it - but I doubt you will find the software.

Its probably a basket case I am afraid unless someone on GZ knows someone that knows someone that worked at NEXT.
