Hiya all

I have been trying to get this to go for a while.

I get about 60% signal, but the image is a black screen. Probably to do with codecs?

Im on Win7.

Does this look right?

Cheers

-Al

Does WMC work for you?
What tuner are you using? If it's a Hauppuage one or a Homerun, they come with viewer software - does that work?

And you've tried the DVB Compatibilty Tool from their website?

Hi,

For Video Renderer select EVR Custom Renderer.

Select LAV filters for  VC1 and HEVC

Select Microsoft for MPEG2 and H.264

Custom Renderer Options: VSYNC by Aero

This works well for me. I have tried most other software for Windows DVB-T and DVB-S/S2 hardware, and for me DVBVeiwer is simply the best. Highly customizable and it can record all channels on a transponder using one tuner, which I find very impressive.

I recommend that you install DVBViewer Recording Service (RS), then you can set timers to wake up the PC, record, and then shutdown. Also you can record with RS while DVBViewer is off.

What version of Windows are you using? Since I upgraded to W8.1 DVBViewer has been the most stable ever.

Good luck,

Tim

Is you 60% signal strength for DVB-S or DVB-T?

What brand of tuners are you using?

If you are using a Hauppauge DVB-T tuner, they are very sensitive to EMR interference, so you need to make sure there are no electrical leads near the cable that connects to the DVB-T tuner. I had terrible reception for some frequencies until I separated the power leads from the cable carrying the signal to the DVB-T tuner.

Tim
