TVNZ app starting shows at 21 mins from the start of the program , however the plus guide  is starting tvnz ondemand type shows  at oo mins as it should  , bit odd

Harmony 650 remote used to control the 2200 but channels are douple changing eg 1 3 5 7 9 2 4 6 8 i have to press the ch change button and quickly flick the remote down to get a single ch change.  would love you guys to submit the full codes to Logitec !! :)

running v 1.1  firmware as that is what it upgraded to

still tiring to work out how to use port 8080 ,  pc started down loading a file which i opened in vlc but not quite right as i just saw a snippet instead of a stream :)

hoping to look for an app for my Galaxy S6  , vlc seems to be a fail but i am possibly missing something simple

only the first day with it

i have had the Dish TV aerialBox-ultra T1050PVR for a long time now
has any one had the problem where the display only half works
eg: the time only shows up on the top half and the bottom part is missing

it only started a few months ago

Have just bought a aerialBox T2200 for my mother, setup was pretty painless, however found one issue, when trying to connect to the wireless router was unable to enter the password as I could not find the + (plus) symbol, went through all the key options upper, lower & symbols but could not be found, I might have missed it but can some check for me?

Also wanted to check when viewing the tuner information it only shows tuner 1 as being active, tuner 2 appears but say it has not been activated? Does this mean it won’t be able to record two channels at once, or is it just using one tuner to record two channels?

Will post an update on how she’s getting on with the new box next week, migrating from her MagicTV 3600 (which is on its last legs, bought back in Dec ’09, so gave good service) might take some getting use to, especially the remote with it’s small buttons. She’d probably love it if I could re-program the MagicTV remote to work with the T2200.

Both tuners are working fine, so don't worry about that, it's just a generic software display, when the time comes to use both tuners to record channels then Tuner 2 will be activated. However Tuners work lime this:

Recording TV One and TV2 will use only one tuner as it's on the same Mux on Freeview.

Recording TV3 and Four will be the same as the above

Recording Prime and TV One will use both tuners.

I hope that helps! In terms of the remote I will answer your question on the other thread smile

Thanks Josh, that make sense, no point activating the tuner if it's not recording.

Mum said it's been recording all her shows, she has some questions/issues about the getting around the UI, but will get more info from her on the weekend, she's probably so use to the MagicTV box that it's a little hard to get use to the T2200 in a week.

Will take a closer look at the keypad option to display the symbols on the weekend, so I can get her connected to FreeviewPlus also.

Awesome stuff! Let us know what device/s you are using that you wish to get HTML streaming, you can use a range of devices and I can provide you with instructions on how to get there. ( I am yet to get material on website uploaded, I've been busy to home renovations but it will be up in a few months ready for the holiday season)

The iManual which can be accessed via Menu > Installation > User Guide has info on the UI under Main Features however I am updating the content to help simplify the manual presentation, great to hear that your Mum has the recordings successfully recorded as it should. Yes a big change from Magic TV but a few weeks and she will know her way around the unit. Let me know if you/she needs any further help/info

Thanks for the help,

I'm just trying to stream it to our laptop.

I put the t2200's IP address into my internet browser with port 8080 i.e. xxx.xxx.x.x:8080

But it just tries to download a file that I don't seem to be able to do anything with...

This will not work on browsers, you will need to run it through software such as VLC

1. Download VLC Player Free from their website here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
2. Once installed, open up VLC and on the top bar click on Media > Open Network Stream or CTRL+N
3. When the box pops up type in http://xxx.xxx.x.x:8080 and click play
4. Wait a few secs and the live channel should play.

If having issues try https:// etc...

Try different networking solutions such as power line adapters or using Ethernet cables, this also depends on the Wi-Fi modem too.

if i used wifi to run the T2200 it was no good for streaming , however when plugged into a cat 5 it was significantly better , samsung phone on VLC was a no go , way too slow  and a Galaxy S6 is a fairly capable unit generally speaking, laptop streaming was ok so its either VLC for android or the phone probably in that case.

Re the control with a Logitech Harmony remote. I had the same issue with button repeats, especially channel numbers and up/down, but fixed it in the Harmony setup app - there is a 'Button Repeat' setting for a device. When set to zero the Harmony controls the T2200 perfectly.
