Ok thanks for the info, Richms, yeah 3 now and TVNZ on demand are always having issues, but my box was the issue before I downgraded the firmware.

Josh from Dish TV has admitted they are having issues with the apps on there devices too.

On Demand issues should be reported to the broadcasters, I monitor the ondemand apps via the LG and the satbox / aerialBox the recent issues have been reported from yesterday.

You can send feedback to Mediaworks here: http://www.tv3.co.nz/OnDemand/OnDemandHelp.aspx just make sure you mention the HbbTV app for FreeviewPlus.

Timmytrd: Yeah I agree Jimmy, you would also think that the latest firmware would be on the website.

I thought it was older but thought why not give it ago, I was surprised it worked most devices know its an older version and won't let you install it.

Im happy it did I haven't got any other issues so far, another issue I did have is that programs in the library once I played them they started playing 2min ahead of the start time, so instead of starting at 0 and playing from there it, would start at 2 min and play from there.

Which is annoying depending on the program if they start on time or not.

I'll post more if I discover anything, I have turned auto update off for now so I don't get the Nov one,

Hey Guys,

The website was updated on Friday, and you can now get the latest firmware here: http://www.dishtv.co.nz/support/downloads.htm
I'll make sure future updates are on the website!

Hi Josh, looks like the 1.1 E update NOV7? Any changes to this?

If it is I'm staying on 1.18 my device seams pretty good so far, better than on 1.1 E anyway.

This is the latest update for the unit, (We are sorry about the confusion between 1.18 and 1.1E) Changes include fixing the freezing while playback, audio issues while recording live tv and watching at the same time.

If it is I'm staying on 1.18 my device seams pretty good so far, better than on 1.1 E anyway.

No worries, if 1.18 is going well then please remain on that firmware, we will releasing an improved update shortly which should correct more bugs found in 1.1E

Hi Josh,

I purchased an AerialBox T2200 from Noel Leemings yesterday and was impressed with the setup and the clarity of the picture on my 2011 55" LED Samsung Smart TV.

It linked to the website and downloaded the latest version I think, and then started its installation process.

I went onto the OnDemand Portal apps and ran TV3 Now and Maori TV fine, but when I came to the TVNZ OnDemanmd app it asked me to login with my username and password.

I already have a username and password for this; however I could not get the remote text pad (0 -9 numbers) to do anything.  The Arrows worked in going up and down the fields but nothing else.

What is the problem here?

Cheers
Bernard

Hey Bernard,

TVNZ has made this so that you use the on screen pad to enter in numbers in your username and/or password however I wil flick to the dev regarding the use of the remote to enter in the numbers. I will also personally suggest TVNZ making it easier to login like they do with other apps like YouTube to connect to your account via a web address.

Hi Josh,

I got a response from DishTv.  really quite simple. All I had to do when I was at the user field was to press [OK] on the remote to bring up the keypad.

It really should be noted on the login screen, but we are only users, not those who design the products X$%@##!

Thanks for your assistance

Thanks for the update Bernard. We are unable to make changes to the login screen as it's the responsibility of TVNZ to do this, I suggest contact their Ondemand team regarding this as it would be useful for their team to look into.

I've recently bought a T2200 to replace my old MagicTV box and so far not been very impressed with its reliability. It might just be that it immediately picked up the 1.1E update (just updated this morning to 1.1F so hoping that's better), but I had great trouble getting it to pick up TVNZ channels and then being very jerky etc when it finally did pick them up (though at times all channels would go bad). Often turning it off and back on would get it going properly, but then it would degrade again later on. I half wondered if it was doing some pre-allocation on the HDD that was causing the issue.

Both the TV, and the MagicTV have been perfect so it's not my aerial or cables that are at issue. I have the T2200 taking the aerial in, then aerial out from the T2200 to the Magic TV with both devices attached to the TV via HDMI. So if it's bad on the T2200 I can switch over to the MagicTV and it's perfectly fine. Really hoping it can be stabilised soon. Also had the odd issue with it losing my wi-fi password for no immediately apparent reason.

New Firmware : 1.1F

Now available on the OND serve, receivers will update this automatically once rebooted, depending on how you have set the updates. Changelogs can be found here

i swapped from mtv3600 to T2200  and haven't had any of those issues other than loss of wifi password after an update .   it still has its quirks and lacks some nice 3600TD features but its only a software issue and they are slowly updating. The most annoying and disastrous feature lacking is the way it returns to the menu after you have watched a program , it allows you to easily delete a non watched program and does not mention the name of the program about to be deleted (there is no trash bin )  its because the menu does not hold the previously selected sort option and if a new program records it seeks that automatically , both highly frustrating but they are working on it . Don't hold your breath because 2 updates have passed by since it was first mentioned, just be aware.  Edit : (nov27.11.15)  make that three updates without a fix

I agree with this. The lack of a trash/deleted item folder is an issue (my wife accidentally deleted something last night for instance) and the way sorting options are forgotten after just about any action are very frustrating. Other than these issues we're not having any major problems but I have the T2200 connected via ethernet to our home network.

Can you clarify if you are looping the connection through the Magic TV or is this being connected standalone, we need more info from you.
