No idea how 2 manually scan, but if the auto tune didn't work, you think there is much chance for manual scan?

Page 6 of the Manual installed in the TV

Manual scan is more likely to find signals that auto misses.

Ok so I've gone in there but no idea what to do lol. I don't even know if my TV is recognising the antenna (going by the attached pics)

mdf: If you need it, Mt Kaukau is:

DTV32, DTV34 and DTV36

or

562, 578 & 594 MHz

Depending on what your TV uses to tune.

But I still suspect it's the aerial if you don't have line of sight.

Not too sure how to navigate to get those? I've attached some pics with the manual tuning. Also as above unsure if TV recognises the antenna as the antenna icon is faded? Also power is definitely on for the antenna.

Thanks guys :)

Go to the screen in the middle picture (the one with the DTV option). You can input the UHF CH option 32/34/36. The fact your not getting any indication of signal strength isn't a good sign though. Which direction is the indoor antenna facing? Is it in a window?

Heya thanks a lot it worked a little bit but was not able to pick up the particular channel!

I actually managed to tune the CH 32 and 34 and it picked up about 6 programmmes each, got the channel 1,2,3 etc and they all looked good!

I tried 36 but was receiving like 96% signal but quality was hovering ariond 0-20%

I've messed about it for an hour, moving the antenna in all sorts of places, facing vertical/horizontal etc but can't get UHF CH 36! (that's the one i'm after for the Apna channel. According to Digital it is Kordia - Trasmit channel 36 which has Apna)

Best to just return it and call someone in and get an antenna on the roof to pick it up?

I ended up doing a bit more research and trying again.

It seems Mount Kaukau was in the complete opposite direction, it's not near the window, it is on the other side lol.

I did CH 36 and got a whole lot better signal and quality but it found only 7 channels.

Had a lot of channels like standard 1,2,3 and te rito, chinese etc, but Apna was not on the list? I just kept going channel up and never came across it - I tried entering '36' too because I think that is what it should be on?

Thanks

Yeah. return it. The fact you get something means you are virtually a sure thing for an external antenna.

The chances of finding a non line of sight position that gives you a good signal on all 4 (or 5 now?) of the channels is pretty slim. In my upstairs room with line of sight to the waitakeries, I get all mux's at perfect quality with a paperclip as an antenna. In the shed on the other side without line of sight, one of the indoor panel antennas gets glicthy rubbish reception on at least 1 of the mux's wherever it is positioned. Couldnt find a place that got them all perfectly so just gave up and bought a bigger splitter and some cable to get proper antenna to it.

Apna may have been shifted to the 2nd Kordia (WTV) mux. Would be 28 I think (if Kaukau the same as Sugarloaf).

Spark FibreMAX using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+. Apple TV 4, Apple TV 4K, iPad Air 1, iPhone 6s, VodaTV Gen 2. If it doesn't move then its data cabled.

Oh yes you are right!

I tried it out and managed to find the channel, but half the time its not available (signal quality is 98-100% but strength is between 0 and 30% - most of the time 0%).

I'm going to go return this antenna today lol, no luck.
