Looks like "The Shopping Channel" has been moved from the Mediaworks multiplex to a Kordia Multiplex with an associated SID change from 1304 -> 1420. I can also see two additional channels loading, but currently with no channel names

  • SID 1507 on a Kordia Multiplex (586MHz in AKL on Waiatarua)
  • SID 1422 on a Kordia Multiplex (602MHzin AKL on Waiatarua)

Haven't seen any announcements regarding new channels recently.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat New Zealand as a Solution Architect for all things Linux, Virtual and of course Cloud. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

I thought it might be RNZ. I recall watching the Kordia annual review a few months back where they mentioned RNZ & John Campbells show specifically as joining Freeview...but i guess not(or yet) based on that link info.

Interesting, I'm only aware that JC new show will be online live to stream, but if Radio New Zealand launches a TV channel then Public Broadcasting may be on a return

They could use a small amount of capacity for a weather channel, with current temps and conditions, rain maps, marine forecasts etc played out as an automated slideshow of 5 to 10 minutes.

Quite a few people are annoyed at losing the one Sky had.
