I realise I'm probably clutching at straws, but is there any way (a converter of some sort?) that I can use my terrestrial Panasonic PVR with a satellite dish? I've moved from the city to a rural area where there is no UHF signal to be had.

You can use a satellite receiver (set top box) to receive tv but you won't be able to record with that Pvr.
Need to get a sat Pvr instead.

Hmm, I was afraid of that. I should have said in my original post, I do already have a satellite set-top box, but my Panasonic PVR can dub content between its HDD and a recordable DVD, which is the main reason I want to be able to use it. As far as I can tell there's no such thing as a PVR that's designed for satellite reception that has this feature. Can you confirm that?

I thought at least one of the Panasonics had composite in (feed composite out from STB).

Spark FibreMAX using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+. UAP, UAP AC Pro, UAP AC Pro Mesh, Apple TV 4, Apple TV 4K, iPad Air 1, iPhone XR, VodaTV Gen 2. If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Yes, my Panasonic does have that. So that will work? Composite Out from satellite STB to composite In on terrestrial PVR? (As you may have gathered, I'm not really familiar with this sort of thing)

Composite video should work, but won't give the greatest of picture quality. You'll also need to program both the sat box and Pvr when you want to record.

I have a Panasonic BWT720 and it quite happily records from the Composite A/V output on my Silver Pace Sky Box. So all it needs to record Freeview Satellite is a Sat Box that has composite A/V outputs. Only downside is everything via composite is SD.

I have a Panasonic DVR that records and upscales from s-video. That is better quality than composite if you have it and can figure a way to match it.
