OK..so this government abolished the public broadcasting Charter and they didn't have $16M to keep TVNZ 7 (all news channel) running. No problem with $26M for a flag referendum no one wants and $22M for pandas. 

 

You get the picture. 

 

But there seems to be money for "Duke TV".....TVNZ's new "male-focused" channel. 

 

You'll be gutting me with a cake fork before I sign up to be dumbed down by watching that trash when much of the public is crying out for some real.......NEWS.

 

Thanks, National.....though I understand the last thing you want is people having access to real news before the 2016 local body and 2017 elections.

 

Fairfax and NZME and Mike Hosking and Paul Henry cheerleading for National is all we're gonna get.

I'm not sure how you've decided the new channel is trash before it's even started broadcasting.
