the Power Cinema update is posted on the Haupage site as of the 24th April

I have downloaded and installs and the basic functionality still al works .

However now, I get a crash when ever it tries to playback a recorded HD session - power cinema completly dies and the windows error message comes up about 10 seconds after clicking on the recording to start playback.

I can plaback the recodings on PowerDvd \ Mediaplayer but they have no sound.

Prior to this patch at least Powercinema would play back the HD recordings.

Any thoughts and comments welcome

Kevin

DS248: "nav2u" - how did you manage to get the beta?

@ DS248: I work for an electronics retailer but don't think can say more... NDA!

Not exactly full compatibility with NZ Freeview though:
- hardware acceleration not enabled (45 to 65% CPU usage)?
- no MHEG-5 for 7 day EPG

I quite agree, though i haven't tried the official update as yet but I'm pretty certain that EPG will not be available in the official release as I'm told that MHEG-5 will not be developed/added.

Other toughts:
- I wonder if adding the "Nvidia Purevideo" will actually make any difference to CPU performance?
- MHEG-5 is also currently being used in UK, Hong Kong, Malaysia. What about France and Norway?
- I wonder if openmheg (when ready) can be used as an addon for MHEG-5.
- Has anyone had any success with using DVB-T NZ on linux?

@ thekevinj: I'v found that a clean re-install (on a freashcopy of Windows) does the trick quite well.
