Hi All,

I used to be able to get TVHB, now it gets picked up and tuned, but never have any signal, haven't seen signs of live in the guide for it for a while.

Anyone know if TVHB is still alive? (Their website is dated 2015, the facebook page seems to have a last post in Dec 2016).

They still have a spectrum licence up until December this year to broadcast - they paid their fees in December 2016. Can you try a rescan to see if your tv picks it up again? Their mux is on DTV27, so should be first up on the rescan.

I did try a rescan, was wondering if they had gone or perhaps my aerial needs adjustment. I'll give another scan a try - Thanks!

I believe they are still operational - I just pinged their transmitter and it responded to the last known IP address i have in my notes.

Most antennas in hawkes bay are aimed at Mt Erin, except TVHB transmits off Mt Threave which is above the paki paki swamp.

So if your in Napier and your antenna is aimed at Mt Erin at 12 o'clock, mt threave is at about 1 o'clock

If your at bridge pa, Threave is almost at 3 o'clock.

So you need a good signal to be able to pick them up because in theory they would come in with less signal than tvnz/mediaworks off mt erin.

Edit: Just went out to the lounge to check and yes I am actually picking tvhb up with a better signal than TV3 from the antenna aimed at erin. Might be more trees in the path to mt erin from my house in napier.
