Digitlink 1210 decoder, hooked it up to our sky dish (apparantly a 'newer model'??).  Did the blind scan thing, and can receive all the Free View channels with the exception of TV3 and C4?  They along with all of the sky channels (as I would expect for the sky channels) scrambled?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Manually enter transponder frequency, symbol rate etc. and rescan (and no I won't give you these details). What you are picking up are the Sky versions of TV3/C4.

Why don't you want to give the OP the frequencies and symbol rates etc for the Sky channels?  There not secret as far as I am aware and he could get them himself from lyngsat.

Cheers Mike

Thank you for the info.  I think I have the correct setting information, (any hints?),  I was just trying to see if I could fix it myself, not so far.  (Stupid woman by the way lol)

make sure you have the LNB frequency set correctly.

It needs to be 10750 rather than 11300, have found if you have this wrong, TVNZ and Sky will pick up, but not Mediaworks (TV3 and C4)

Do a scan of 12456 and see what you get.  You should only have to enter symbol rate (22500), polarity (horizontal)

The local oscillator frequency on your LNBF settings must be right if you are getting pix

Try deleting all the channels and do a manual scan on transponders 12456 H 2500 sr  and 12483 H 2500 sr

Dont use the blind scan option this will pick up all sorts of crap that you cant watch

This should get your channels back

Symbol rate should be 22500 KSym/sec NOT 2500.

whoops my bad, and FYI Spyware:Sky do not Transmit TV3/C4 off their transponders Sky are freeloading of the freeview transponders and it is TV1 and TV2 that are waisting transponder space due to contracts between TVNZ and Sky

That isn't may understanding. TV3 and C4 transmissions from Sky are encrypted (the last time I scanned) so they can't be off the Freeview transponders. Certainly no mention on geekzone of TV3/C4 being off Freeview transponders on Sky. The other Freeview channels (excluding TVNZ) yes.

EDIT: Just confirmed TV3/C4 encrypted on 12644 horizontal.

Actually sky transmit their own encrypted feeds for TV3 and C4 at a much lower bit rate than freeview

See transpondert 12644H at http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skynz.html

Its Maori, Cue and Stratos that Sky are freeloading
