when i record a tv show to my usb flash stick it plays fine on my tv but when i play it on my pc it will not load

tried mediaplayer classic and vlc player with no luck the other dvb-t devices ive used in the past to record tv the files have played fine on my pc

i would not think this is the case but is the veon tv adding its own copyright protection to the video file so it will only play on the tv

Most likely copy protection - other manufacturers (Panasonic comes to mind) do this.

I think all Freeview approved devices might do this. It's a copyright thing.
