Have you tried looking at Sony's support site?

Yes, Freeview terrestrial first transmitted officially in April 2008. Sony TVs with DVB-T tuners appeared in June/July 2008.

I looked at the support site with this brand and model #, the only mention that there was a software update! Though I'm not sure if it would Help. I have not ask for any help from the site at this stage!

Freeview terrestrial uses a DVB-T tuner so if looking at a manufactures site you look for a tuner spec of DVB-T/T2.

EDIT: From the Sony site specs for said model

Digital: DVB-T Analog: B/G, D/K, I,L,M

Hi, was this also for Oceania - New Zealand? Because I'm bought a "One for All" indoor (DVB-T/T2) With 15km range. I'm presently can see the transmiter at Mt. Cargill in Dunedin +/- 3km, though the TV mentions when doing an 'Auto search' , that there is no aerial connected! I have tried the TV at a friends house and still 'no signal' being mentioned by the TV.

Do you possibly have the set up co-ordinates for Dunedin in the 'TV SETUP BROWSER' ?

Freeview, DVB-T, transmissions started officially in NZ from Mt Cargill in April 2008. DVB-T transmissions started in the UK way back in 1998 so Sony had lots of time to engineer the tuners.

There are no setup coordinates, auto search will find any DVB-T transmissions. My quick guess is that you are scanning using the ANALOG tuner (rather than the DIGITAL tuner).

EDIT: Have you connected the power supply to your amplified antenna?? (I'm reading the HN description).

NOTE: If you mean 15 +/- 3 km then your problem is most likely an antenna problem. These antennas are practically useless (I've tested similar) at that range. I live 16 km from Sugarloaf and have zero usable reception from an indoor antenna.

Alby: Thank you for that "Note". I have tried the Analog and Digital tuner scanning with no success. I'm going to set up a New external aerial. As to your 'Edit', Yes the power supply was connected to the amplified antenna.
