Is there a way to Schedule a regular recording on a NON-FreeView channel?

(I have my own DVB-T 4CH modulator which it sees but without a Programme Guide,

you can't seem to set up a manual scheduled recording!

(Satellite news feeds, Quake detector etc)

(It was easy on the Magic / previous DishTV PVR etc)

Can't seem to find how to do it on this box!

Weird,

Just got home and tried check for update etc. Still not available for me. System info still shows 116 Dec13 build date.

Did a system restart a couple of times as well.

WTF!

OK,

I have zero idea what is going on. I've done a factory reset and gone through the setup process again from scratch.

Still version 116. The update is not available for some reason.

Also when i do a check for updates the latest updated time doesn't change.

I have to restart the box before it checks....

Where do you folks see the version? I might be blind but I can't see 116 or 118 anywhere. Also have the problem with "Check for updates" not changing the time - it says 2:45am and stays at that.

Have any of you tried using the TVNZ Android app to cast to this box? I found that, like the Sony A1 TV, the built-in cast returns a timeout and never works with TVNZ. Anyone else having this problem?

Sorry, I can't see the version number anywhere! (But from the update I did see it update to 118!)

From Settings / About:

Kernel Version:

4.9.44_hi3798cv2x

Sun Dec 30 16:58:50 IST 2018

I don't cast so cannot answer your question.

From memory you press the menu button from live tv. Then select advanced settings.
You should see software versions. The 116 or 118 will be appended to the software version build date.

I guess that because it is a FreeView App, if it ain't on FreeView you ain't going to (schedule) record it!

All fine until the guide goes down!

I had to push the update 4 or 5 times and then it worked to update to 118.

Few changes in the Manage My Recordings area.

To find the Version, push "Menu" on the Remote, then go to the far right to "Settings", at the bottom "Advance Settings", then the bottom again to "System Info" and it is on the right.

Hope this helps.
