Hi guys,

Im looking at purchasing a video card for my pc to record and view FREEVIEW | HD. Also to play games on. Has currently i have wintv haunnapage nova-t tv tuner stick and using on board graphics. But the pc is not upto freeview succsfully via this way. Yes i know it is the video card(on board graphics lol. didnt have the money for a graphic card when i built the pc lol). Which is why im planning to purchase a  new video card. But i want to do my homework and purchase the right card.
How would you guys rate this card for viewing and recording freeview on, i believe it does do hardware decoding cause atm i am doing software decoding. Also im not sure , is this card capable of the full hd sound via the card. Incase later on i plug it into a hdmi tv.
what do u guys thinks of these cards: XFX PV-T95G-UDF3 Geforce 9500GT or

What known problems is there with these.  or what other cards are there that are under say 160-170.

Thanks in advanced

9500GT is good for a HTPC, however i think that if you're playing recent games (eg CoD4, TF2, CoH, UT3 etc) you should go for a 9600GT, which has a fair bit more grunt. Not sure which cards have the SPDIF input for the sound over HDMI though, you'd have to look into it.
