I moved this from the HTPC forum as it wasn't getting any replies and is probably more suited to this forum.

As the title says when I scan for dvb-t channels I only find TV3, TV3+1 & C4. No TVNZ or Kordia stuff at all.

Im using a Blackgold BGT3540 with Windows 7 RC1 x86. I've rescanned a few times, tried rebooting and deleting the channels then re-scanning but still nothing. DVB-s and sky stb working fine.

Anyone else had this? Any suggestions? Do I need to add them in manually somehow?

Cheers

MODS IVE TRIED DELETING THIS 5 TIMES BUT I JUST GET A BLANK PAGE. PLEASE DELETE IT?

Wow,

Nice card.

From my experience you possibly have a signal problem.

First of all, where in New Zealand are you.
If you are in Auckland there are four locations broadcasting freeview, you have to have the correct direction and the correct orientation i.e. vertical and Horizontal.
Are you using an external antenna?
Is the antenna correctly aligned and dedicated to the PC or is it part of a MATV system.
If part of a MATV system try a dedicated antennas, http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=83&topicid=25237 has a link to a cheap, easy ( but ugly ) antenna

Check your connections if you have done them yourself.
Are you able to borrow a STB to confirm the signal strength and quality.

I am lucky, I can get 50 - 60% signal strength and 100% quality from a set of rabbit ears.

Reading a review of your card they mentions they have their own software

Also available is a trialware version of Black Gold's £25 digital TV application, which talks 'directly' to the card as opposed to via BDA. Vista users should note that this software, which doesn't support DVB-S, must be run in XP 'compatibility mode'. By the time you read this, the latest (and fully/satellite/Vista-compatible) version of the program should be ready.

Maybe try that.

You may have tried all of that already but in my experience most cases are poor signal quality. However I have had a faulty Hauppauge card, would work some times and not others.

Good luck

John

I have the same card and running win 7 RC x86. Scan picked up all channels so as above, you might need to check your signal for your area.

I see you want the page deleted - did you manage to solve it?
