Got the following via EMail from FreeviewShop

SBS HD and SBS One, SBS TWO, SBS 3 and SBS 4 are all currently broadcasting on OPTUS D1:

Just add the following TP to D1 and do a scan to watch them:
Freq: 12646MHz
Pol: Vertical
SR: 12600

For SBS HD you will need a HD Satellite receiver like the Hyundai AH-3110 or Ultraplus F-9000HD PVR.

Here is a screen shots of SBS HD:

Yep - working including SBS HD (ONE HD, 720p, MPEG audio), wonder how long it will last.

Amazing amount of junk on SBS, it would make a perfect compliment to Freeview...

won't be there for long.... (based on previous experiences with these)

not sure it was all that smart by Freeview Shop to e-mail all their customers about a feed that isn't likely to hang about.  Unless they know something I don't...

Somehow I don't think they'll be missed if they go - not exactly hours of riveting content on SBS - unless of course your dead, in which case it would be absolutely stunning viewing...

Then again they could be the newfound Freeview channels, like I said earlier they would fit right in, I can see it now - Freeview announces a stunning new addition to the lineup - SBS + 1.

One the good side they're also broadcasting a complete 7 day EIT guide - so you can see in advance what you won't be watching - unless your dead of course (no offence to dead people), in which case you'll just love it...

SBS is a very interesting channel. I've already recorded a couple of shows off it tonight.

yeah, just caught the end of the doco on Fritjof Nansen, very interesting story.

NZ doesn't really have an equivalent,  Stratos is close, but doesn't carry the same amount of foreign language movies and quality docos.

hmmm well they all work fine on win7 with hauppauge nova-s dvb-s - including the HD channel - but yeah, looks unlikely that i'll watch much on it based on the 7 day guide content...

I should have known better than to search for it on a V pol with the mysky going. Does anyone know that if/when we get the new quad throat LNB's with dual coax will that mean we can view both vert and horiz polarity feeds through the one dish?

Cheers,

Matt.

thekiwi: All working fine in MediaPortal for me running the 1.1 alpha. Only issue for me was that the single transponder scan in 1.1 didn't seem to work so I had to put it into the new XML satallite files that it uses and do a full scan.
