i have:

Samsung 42" plasma screen (848x480), bought when you needed to take out a second mortgage to afford one, a Windows 7 Media Center and an Onkyo 7.1 Home Theatre Amp.

I've also recently added a Samsung 26" lcd to the bedroom and am intending to hook it into the main MCE box when i finally win a free xbox, or build a new windows 7 embedded device on a microitx board..

A Panasonic 42" plasma with Freeview and an old VCR. Having the Magic tv box would sure be a major upgrade!

I think this device would go great wit my mysky, 32" LCD TV, PS3 and Sony home theatre. The Mysky is good, but not enough storage and can only reccord 1 channel whilst watching the other.

May the farce be with you!

My small Toshiba 32" LCD would look great with Freeview|HD playing through it, if only it was available up here in Whangarei!
I'll have to stick with my WHS box, MediaPortal and a couple of DVB-S cards :(

I would love to replace the TiVo in the living room. It is a nice piece of gear, but boy is it noisy at night! I would happily give it away, if it could be replaced by the Magic TV box. It would look stunning next to the 46" LCD, and sound great with the 5.1 surround sound :D It would complement the xbox360, xbox and PS2 that currently sit next to the TV collecting dust.

Our Freeview journey started when we ditched the old VHF TV aerial because the birds would sit on it and poo on the deck. We hooked up a DSE satellite box to an existing Sky dish and that gave a nice picture on the 29" Trintron we had at the time. Of course, to take advantage of the widescreen picture (I mean why wouldn't you), we needed a widescreen telly - so a 42" Panasonic Plasma was purchased.

A few months later Freeview HD was launched and a few months after that we purchased one of the ill fated eXtraTerrestrial HD units, which of course was the subject of one of the longest threads in this forum. This was joined by a PS3, and because the Panasonic had only 1 HDMI port, we also bought a great Oppo HDMI switch. We used a Philips hard disk recorder to record pretty awful quality video from the ET.
After frustration at the ET box, we replaced that with a Vantage PVR box via a 50% off special here in this forum, plus an external WD disk to go with that. The Vantage box has rarely crashed and has great picture, however (as many readers will know) when you go to ppp plla yyy baa ck a recording there's often a bit of a stutter while the audio tries to match up with the video. The wife's a bit tired of these boxes that don't really work as they're supposed to I might add ;-)

Anyway, the Vantage was recently joined in the cabinet by a TelstraClear STB. When or maybe IF their PVR ever sees the light of day, we might upgrade to that. I've also considered MySKYHDi but am (still) waiting to see what TelstraClear come out with since their triple play packages are cheaper.

Once I've won this Magic TV box that should keep the wife happy for a bit longer and I can give the Vantage to someone else!

I have a Toshiba 32" full HD tv with a Sony Muteki 7.2 Home Theatre system connected to an xbox 360 streaming content from my iMac.

My tv reception is rubbish so having freeview would be awesome especially since my telecom bigtime is being cancelled I have to go back to watching tv on the actual tv

I just have a 32" LCD TV attached via HDMI to a DVD player and a VCR. There is an Onkyo CDX300 for sound if I decide to play back a movie via a laptop. I think the Magic TV will be a good boost starting with Freeview. Have only seen HD at the shops and now will be a good time to start experiencing it at home.

Our 'home entertainment' system currently consists of a 27" Philips CRT that we inherited from my late step-grandfather, fed by a DSE FreeviewHD box we bought at Christmas. Unfortunately, our trusty VCR died a few months before that. Since then I have been recording shows on my Mac Mini (in my room) and burning to DVD for my parents... which I am getting a little sick of!

SO: with this Magic TV box my life would become a whole lot easier. My parents could record whatever they like and (given time) I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore! Plus, this could also serve as a stepping stone to a new HDTV...

And Blackmael couldn't wait to watch all those FIFA World Cup games in HD, so he collected it from here:
