If you tell him the lack of support for 4:2:2 is now an issue he may be able to pass that on to the firmware writers.

I heard that the 4:2:2 feeds were an accident. Don't waste your money on a new box- it'll be 4:2:0 from now on...

It was on a different satellite this time. Asiasat 4. Hard to pick up in NZ without a good 2m plus ku band dish.

I think channel 7's rights to the V8 Supercars is up for review at the moment so won't decide on upgrading the dish until that happens. Flatmate is gutted tho as we just have a 60cm dish pointing at optus D2

Any ideas/predictions which Satellite it will be on this year? I know towards the end of last year it moved to Asiasat 4 (I think), if it ends up staying there then prob time to invest in a bigger dish

Should be on Optus D1.

Parameters below and unencrypted... but don't tell anyone...

12456MHz, Horizontal polarity, QPSK, 22500kS/s, 3/4 FEC

Seriously though, probably look at vetrun.com forums. If someone finds it, it'll be there quickly.

Abu Dhabi will be on C-Band only, as are all the fly away races.

And looking at the guide only Race 1 will be broadcast this weekend. Have to wait until the following weekend for Race 2.
Man I hate the state of motorsport broadcasting in this country. if it was Rugby, it'd be live, ad free, HD and they'd shift the news. end Rant.

Surely MediaWorks could ditch TV3+1 for 14 weekends and stream live feeds for all the V8 races. Then they wouldn't need to play it on TV3 at all. And any V8 fan would then jump onto Freeview to watch so it will help with Freeview uptake :) Kill 2 birds with one channel!

Don't forget it would also be on TV1, TV2, TV3, C4 and Prime, all at the same time ;-)

Damn rugby.

I guess without ads, there wouldn't be a commercial reason to play them?? I just guess there aren't enough fans to support the ratings for it to work.

Maybe they should let the Nissans back in... maybe that would rate better...
