Ever since i updated to the latest firmware i've not noticed any major bugs in everyday usage really ...
just in live pause of the odd program (prob HD ones) the gear can't keep up and so rewinding often won't work.

and still the odd blank black screen happening every once in a while for a blink of an eye.

I haven't had any of those problems. Rewinding during play looks to work fine - sometimes goes quicker than I expect and I have to slowly forward even during the time-lag that the recorder is still recording. Possibly your HD?

My biggest issue (and it's a small one) is the media browser, which always has the wrong image, or no image attached to it. Means I get a Masterchef image on the footy and the way around it is to actually read the title and recording time (life's so tough). Also the ability to sort on name or recording time would be convenient...

Well my one went back for a refund this morning, lost the sound on TV 3, ok on the Samsung TV tried to change to another channel and found that the Unite had locked up this is the second time this had done it, plus turning itself on now and again for no reason, you had to unplug it to fix the Lockups.

The Picture quality is very good, good skin tones, remote is utter crap, I did ring support today to see if this was a known problem seems that they must have put me thought to the tea boy, as he stated that I have Old firmware, I stated that this was version 1.1B and dated 18th Aug and your web site lists 1.1A dated the 16th Aug.

He did state that new firmware was coming out in 2 weeks and send it back and they will have a look at it, been there done that as I am a Technician and have work for 2 TV repair shops for a few years, plus about 35 Years in Electronics, it would just come back to me no fault found, Intermittent faults are hard to trace and cost more time than its worth.

Waiting for new firmware would be out side my legal rights on returning the unite with in the 2 weeks requirements, not wishing to be left with a Lemon.

What we need is  real Branded products  not this overpriced Junk.

A PVR should be cheaper than a low end VCR  say $200 , far less in a PVR and no adjustments required.

Hey, thanks for that! I've been checking every few days, but good to see it's come in. No technical update doc, which is a shame.

I've been mucking about with the output files and ffmpeg. I haven't yet found an output that can't be played by VLC (although sometimes there's a bit of jumping or delay which I haven't gotten to the bottom of) but ffmpeg really doesn't like the audio. AVC looks to be ok, but something is up with the AAC. Sometimes the videos transcode ok, other times it doesn't at all. Still working out what's going on with it. Maybe this update will fix it? :)

Yeah, I did the same and haven't seen any differences. I suspect the thumbnail browser has been improved. I'm hoping that some of the ffmpeg inconsistencies have been fixed, but will let you know. Again, shame there's no release notes.

I emailed DishTV on the 11th got a reply the next day, about my Lockups and missing Browser Icon and if that was fixed in version 1.1f, all they stated,  fixed some Pixellation issue on HD play back off the hard drive.

The list of Fixes will be posted on there web site later this week..???

Thanks Rojul

Sorted out now.

Notice that I still get lockups if I go into Connectivity and select hard drive it tries to list the files and then locks up on the first one, tried it again and it was OK till I went back to the first one, deleted the fist one and tried it a few times seems OK but not a conclusive test, the first one was a very short recording.

NOTE: Teletex  the Page Freeze Key is the FAV  key.

Still getting a few Pixellation issues with SD  playback but only now and again and its very short, still no list of 1.1f  fixes.

This morning I noticed that my dishtv unit was not booting. Red LED and time. I tried resetting it, etc and it jut seems to stay there. Even tried switching it on/off at the wall, Starts with load/boot/ then just back to the red light.

I managed to reload the firmware again because I thought maybe it had corrupted itself. Firmware loaded OK but the same thing happened after reboot.

Will take it back to Noel Leeming tomorrow to see if they can get it fixed/replaced.
