Hi.

I have a Topfield dual tuner Satellite PVR TF6000PVR.

I have added TAPS (little third party apps) that give it additional functionality over and above the standard functionality. I would like the same functionality in a DTT PVR.

Record 2 channels, watch another.
Record 2 channels play a recording
Record 1 channel, timeshift another.
Grid EPG display showing 10 channels, 90 minutes with scheduled recordings highlighted
Configurable Advert skipping button(s)
Automatic recording scheduling based on keyword searches with advanced matching eg: using "and", "Or, "Not" etc. Also configure each search to certain channels, days, times.
Ethernet connectivity.

Would be nice to have some networked media player features IE DLNA or NFS.
Would be nice to have built in Web remote features.

IE Topfield PVR or Tivo like functions without being locked down.

Any suggestions?

Regards Allen.

Maybe get a Vu+ Duo and put a DVB-T USB tuner on it. It'd do everything except the search/programming function you are after, but I guess there could be a plug-in for that.

I haven't done it myself, or heard of anyone in NZ doing it, but it is being done overseas. It could be worth exploring. If I got any UHF signal here I'd give it a go myself.

Did a bit of a search. This is DVBS2 (Satallite), no mention of DTT support?

Cheers.

I guess the DTT USB stick is only single tuner? Don't like the comment that there is possibly audio synch issue.

Thanks for the info.

Allen.

Well - the Vu+ 'Ultimo' is about to be released, and it will have provision for 3 modular tuners I believe. Maybe they could all be DVB-T without having to go via USB at all.
Information is somewhat sketchy at this stage.

I do seem to recall reading a discussion about a Vu+ Duo with 2 USB DVB-T tuners attached, but I don't recall what the upshot was or even where I read it - probably at http://www.world-of-satellite.com/forumdisplay.php?11-VU-Duo

What is DTT?
I presume you mean DVB-T? (See the title of this Forum).

A more generic name "Digital Terrestrial Television"
DVB-T refers to the broadcasting standard used "Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial"
