I've been looking through the forum for an answer to this problem, but no luck.

I bought the USB hvr 900h tv card and installed it all fine in my computer (using Vista Ult).  But when I scan channels (after connecting to sky dish) I can't pickup any channels.  I'm in the Auckland Pine Hill area.

Do I need to change the LMB frequency or something? How do I do this?

Would be great to actually get TV working on my computer - before the world cup!

Just to check, as I have two HVR900's in my HTPC, do you mean this one:

If so, that's not a satellite tuner, its Freeview HD and needs an aerial, not a dish.

Yep that's the one!

Well thanks very much for the info - saved me much frustration - or MORE frustration I should say!

Now it looks like I gotta shell out extra moolah for an antenna or else replace this tv card....

Can you get an alternative model to this one that uses a satellite?

The guy at PBtech told me the little antenna that came with the card wouldn't work, but he said it should be fine with my Satellite dish.

Maybe I can take it back as I was wrongly informed.

THanks for the help, any suggestions to a good satellite tv card?

Definitely take it back and demand a refund or replacement with a satellite tuner. He obviously doesn't know the difference and misled you. Not sure if it's CGA or some other legislation covers this but you have rights as a customer to be sold the correct item and not be misled.
