Just bought pre loved Magic Box and in process of setting up, however, showing message no signal check antenna? Have checked through settings menu and seems to be all set up ok. Have another TV freeview in bedroom which is receiving a good picture from the same source! Was assured by previous owner box working fine, just wondering if I should try a firmware update or perhaps there is something else I haven't done correctly. Any feedback would be appreciated. Happy New Year.

Have you run a channel scan?  Even though it's been used before, you probably need to.

I'd probabvly reset it, run a channel scan and then check the signal strength. I've seen cases where an aerial was good enough for one box, but not for another.

Make sure it has the latest firmware installed. The old firmware was prone to instability.

The MagicTV 3600 thread is here

There is a 3rd party patch that lets you access recordings over http. Be sure to see my note on page 49 and about the remote control oil problem.
