Hi

I noticed on the mediaportal website that RC2 is now available.
Has anyone upgraded to this yet, if so why and what are the advantages?

Any problems with upgrade?
Did you just write over the previous install?
Any perforamance or stability gains?
Did it allow you to view analog on your hybrid card (eg HVR2200)

Regards
Mike

Have just finished upgrading to RC2. Followed MP instructions & completed manual uninstall of RC1 client/server & reapplied dVB fix from MP site.

Rescanned TV channels, renamed & resetup both Mediaportal & TVserver configs. Seems to load frontend quicker, & maybe slightly faster to change channels.

To early to state if the occasional signal stutters are gone. Don't see why it should solve those issues as I would assume they are more related to hardware (eg. cabling etc.) and/or codec. Am watching yesterday's Powerbuilt motorsport programme from TV1 & working perfectly.

One other thing, Prime never had correct aspect ratio using RC1 but is perfect now. Though, I may have altered aspect ratio within Mediaportal before: can't remember if I tried to rectify as I just changed picture size on TV remote.

Also fixed no data available for channels like TV6 & 7 by remapping channels inside XMLTV plugin.

Short & curly is: working perfectly at present. Will see if PowerScheduler & other plugins work good over time.
