Okay, we've finally got the UHF aerial up. Looks awesome on the new Bravia iDTV.
However Mediaportal hasn't been so flash. I had to scan all of NZ to get the right Te Aroha frequencies, which isn't a biggie. But now i've scanned both analogue and digital.

However when i go watch TV i put it on One, and then go channel up on the remote, and all it does is make it say TV 2 or TV3 in the corner, and doesnt change channel. I have to go in the EPG to switch, and even then i'll get a black screen, or it'll go back to One. Switching channels say from Freeview One to the Svideo input from Sky takes 10s of black screen in between. I have a feeling setting up IR blasting won't be too fun either.

Really not liking Mediaportal at the moment, i can see why people get annoyed at it. Will try and take a better look at it tomorrow, my head hurts.

GB-PVR sounds inviting right about now, but i think i'll give MP a chance.

I notice you stipulate Medaiportalwith latest SVN build in your first post. Is this RC1 with the last SVN before RC2 was released? Or RC2? If the latter, did you manually uninstall your existing version of MP or allow the RC2 uninstaller to do the job? Team Mediaportal state that issues have presented themselves if you let the RC2 uninstaller to do the uninstall.

Aslo, you might want to try this codec that sbiddle posted. It appears superior to the PowerDVD* one. Don't believe it has anything to do with your issues, but could optimise your viewing once you get your HTPC sorted.

Running latest RC2 SVN. Its a new build so it's only ever had RC2 + latest svn installed.

Might try arcsoft after i get everything else sorted. I think i'm going to have to trawl through the MP wiki for an hour since there doesn't seem to be a guide for getting analogue/digital setup with the whole combinations thing which seems to just make channels disappear when you combine them (cant uncombine) and mapping sky channels and IR blasting etc,
