In order of quality (Best first):

1. Digital Video (HDMI, DVI - will do upto 1080p)
2. Component Video (The three RGB cables you're probably used to seeing, can do upto 1080p)
3. S-Video (As far as i'm aware, this'll only do 480p)
4. Composite Video (The single RCA connection - this'll only do 480i)

This is my understanding. :) So it all really depends on what you can output, and what your tele can receive.

If you have a graphics card that has a DVI connection, probably best to use either a DVI -> Hdmi cable, or pickup a DVI -> HDMI converter. Of course this is dependant on your TV having HDMI.

hey.  Tv has HDMI.  we also have sky, so the same cables should allow us to hook it up through sky too?
