Has 2degrees started rolling out DC-HSPA yet? In Timaru I'm getting pretty decent speeds (8-12mbps down, consistently 4mbps up) with a DC-HSPA capable device. Given that they only recently put the towers up here, is DC live? I don't know how to check, apart from the fact I'm getting H+ in my status bar.

H+ should indicate DC but 9-12 down isn't that awesome, but you get what you pay for. I love the price of 12GB for $99 personally

It's triple the speed of my ADSL, which is kind of sad. And yeah, the 12gb pack is awesome.

H+ does not mean DC at all you, The handset will display H+ on a single carrier at 21Mbps

uenostation54 does your handset support DC?

Interesting

On my Windows Phone handset when I put in my 2D sim I notice these displayed

G
E
3G
H
H+

I've always assumed H+ was DC

H+ Simply indicates HSPA+. This can be single carrier 21mbps or dual carrier 42mbps.
I don't know of any handsets which can indicate whether two carriers are in use or not.

I believe those speeds are achievable on HSPA+ single carrier however.

You can also get dual carrier HSPA. Cambridge had a site like this.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster and even more now as they are upgrading their rural Conklins. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend $195 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
