Hello forum and 2DegreeCare

I am trying to setup iPhone 4(s) tethering for iPad, and also the PPTP VPN on the iPad.

this setup used to be working with the old provider Vodafone. it stopped working when the customer switched to 2degrees.

I tweaked the iPhone settings as below:

Cellular Data
APN internet

MMS
APN MMS
MMSC http://mms.2segreemobile.... (this don't matter to me as VPN is my concern)
MMS proxy 118................................(this don't matter to me as VPN is my concern)

Internet Tethering
APN direct (used to be internet, I changed it to direct after reading this post)

I sort got the VPN working after a few tries in the morning, I am just wondering when the customer take those to Fuji, will this setup still work?

any comment welcome.

Thanks a lot

Michael

As long as data roaming is switched on, it will still work.

iPad Air + iPhone SE + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

I am having a similar issue.
I am trying to setup an always-on-vpn on my nexus.
The function works perfect when on wifi.
It works OK when on "internet" apn (as in it works until it doesn't and disconnects abandoning the session).
Reading about the APN setup and having in the past used telecom's direct APN I created it on my phone.
I can connect data using the direct APN, the internet works but I cannot initiate any VPN connections, both PPTP and IPSec
Tried multiple servers and services and direct doesn't work.
