Whats going on Snap?  Was talking to a customer in Europe and my internet drops out for 20 minutes or so!!

Was this a planned outage? 

15.08.13 01:50:20 PPPoE error: Timeout.
15.08.13 01:50:07 PPPoE error: Timeout.
15.08.13 01:49:53 PPPoE error: Timeout.
...
15.08.13 01:47:25 PPPoE error: Timeout.
15.08.13 01:47:11 PPPoE error: Timeout.
15.08.13 01:46:58 PPPoE error: Timeout.
15.08.13 01:46:44 Timeout during PPP negotiation.

It was a bit unlucky that when I needed the net the most it dropped out.

Hey,

Sorry about that, this was a planned outage on the Chorus network to rectify a fault. Affected quite a few DSLAMs in the area.

Chuck a USB 3G stick in your router and then there will be no outage =D

Likely hood, no. Not when you've got probably thousands uppon thousands of customers.
