I'm a Snap fibre user. The telephone is connected to the Fritzbox directly.

Every time when we lift up the handset to make or receive a call, we can hear short and continuous beeps from the handset. It sounds like "du du du du..." and it beeps about 2 seconds to get connected. It's very annoying. We've tried several different phone sets but still have the same problem. We were told to reset the Friztbox by Snap Helpdesk. Immediately after reset the phone was ok, but few minutes later the problem came back again.

Just wondering anyone has any idea what problem this is? Thanks.

I believe that what you're describing is stutter tone, it indicates you have new voicemail waiting.

Although that being the case, it shouldn't be present when answering a call.

I too would assume it's just a MWI notification to tell you that you have a voicemail - but that shouldn't be present during a call if that's what you're inferring.

We've never ever set up the voicemail. After setting up the voicemail we found there were 8 "new" messages. It's all sorted after deleting all the voicemails.

Thanks guys.
