I have just got a S5 phone off trade me and no where in the listing did it state it was a Verizon branded phone I have put in my 2DM sim but I can not get any mobile data to work have tried manually entering settings under APN but no luck. Even if I can get data to work on 3G would be fine. Or can I flash the ROM to unbranded or a 2DM version. phone model g900v

Never get a US handset unless you know what you are doing / looking for and Verizon is a mix of CDMA / LTE and there handsets are not suited to NZ networks that are GSM / UMTS / LTE

If I had of known I would not of brought it here is the description

Samsung Galaxy S5 16GB

Phone is in good working condition

Unlocked to all networks

Only issue is the cracked screen (see photo), otherwise phone has no problems. Cracks do not affect the use of the phone (screen still works fine).

Comes with USB charger

Unfortunately raising an issue for not as described with TM cost money unlike ebay so chances of getting a refund are almost zero

According to Frequency Check, it will work on 3G here (has 850, 900 and 2100) but only supports US LTE bands.

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

Hey there,

Based on the frequencies supported by your phone (Samsung S5 SM-G900V) it should work on 2degrees data.

Make sure that you've got Data Roaming turned on and the correct APN settings under Settings > (More Networks) > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Add / +

Name: 2degrees internet

APN: internet

Proxy/Port/Username/Password/Server/MMS: All should be not set/blank

MCC: 530

MNC: 24

Authentication Type: None

APN Type: default,supl

Save this, and then ensure it's ticked.

Once you've done this, if it's still not working please send us a PM with:

- Your mobile number and PIN

- Do you see signal bars, and if so do you see something like 3G/4G/H+ next to them?

- What is the error you get when accessing a website?

- Date/time you tried to access the data, so we can check if we received the request in our system

- Location

Otherwise, you can give us a ring on 0800 022 022 from another phone if possible and we can troubleshoot over the phone :)

Cheers,

^BRM

Some of these handsets are locked down from changing APNs or only work when roaming

Go back to seller and ask them to prove it works.
