@Liviy :-) The link reference was more so to point to the configuration settings to check on the router to ensure it's setup correctly which is located in that post.

Liviy: Self burn! Oh yeah!!! Nice one Liviy you plonker! 🤣

Still getting used to this site...it looked like on my phone that the names were the other way around! Fortunately my tech skills are better than my forum reading skills!

Yeah I struggle a bit reading the forums on my phone too.. There's isn't a GZ app is there? :-)

Those settings will try to shape the traffic accordingly on the Fritzox - By setting them as accurately as you to the service speed can you'll get a more consistent experience.

Potatoe...potatoe...mmm...that transcribes rather crappy from spoken to written formats lol...you get the gist of what that was...anyway...yeah, QoS is traffic shaping if you’re talking routers and just depending on which manufacturer it’s on and what they feel like calling it... I guess in the telco industry though it has a second less routery meaning too around the general state of a service. But in this instance it’s still that piece of code which mucks around with the traffic on a router instead of the router letting the packets keep their innocence and just passing through untouched. I’m surprised it’s a default for 2d since it’s one of the biggest causes of bufferbloat. But anyway, I think I’m thread hijacking but I’m happy to continue the conversation elsewhere or be ignored...choice is yours haha ;)
