Call log only goes back so far on my iPhone. Someone suggested to delete what I can see and it would regenerate previous 100 calls. It hasn’t. And no backup that goes for that period I need

Did you send a SMS or make a call to the number you are looking for?

Not sure if it will help in your case, but the party that made the call should be able to see it in their billing statements.

The records used for the call history in the bills and so on are only for your chargeable events. They will cover incoming roaming calls, and premium SMS, but if it was a free incoming service it isn't in that record set.

thank you. That makes sense now. Will have to rely on random backups. Lesson learnt

Even on Android phones, the record only goes back 500 calls.
