Hi guys,

I'm stumped with a bizarre issue with IPv6 through my EdgeRouter. Once connected, IPv6 begins working for approximately 1 to 2 minutes, and then just dies out, nothing showing in logs etc. Unit itself also loses IPv6 connectivity to the internet, not just PCs behind it.

I've dumped a copy of the configuration I'm currently using here: https://pastebin.com/N602wQC1

I have also tried setting eth0s MTU to 1508, so PPPoE can operate at 1500, however that didn't appear to change anything.

Be great to get this sorted, hopefully someone else has had the same issue, and resolved it!

Cheers

*EDIT*

Output from dhcp6c.log from interface connect, through to when IPv6 stops working:

Oct/08/2018 12:37:19: client6_recvadvert: unexpected advertise

v6 appears to malfunction as the failures to remove addresses begin.

I have managed to solve it! I'd forgotten to add prefix-only to the dhcpv6-pd! Doh.

Yes, prefix-only is required for 2degrees otherwise the CPU gets hammered as it continually tries to send iana requests

@michaelmurfy should update the OP for the EdgeRouter tutorial to mention the prefix-only requirement for 2dgrees, I got caught out by this only to realise it's mentioned quite a way into the thread

I did notice quite a lot of CPU load before setting it, and suspicions were definitely raised when I saw the dhcp6c log. Glad to have it working, these ERLite-3 units are impressive!

Yes, glad you got it working :)

They are impressive things. I had one before moving to the EdgeRouter 4 for no other reason than wanting the newer model

Ah yes - I thought I had put this in there. Have updated it now.
