Still haven't heard back from 2degrees.

Anyway, while I wait... I tried my wife's 2degrees sim with 022 # in my phone and so far I've not managed to replicate the same issues I was having with my 2degs sim with 027 # in it. Not sure what that proves other than its unlikely to be the phone that's the issue.

I have to say, compared to Spark, 2degrees mobile support has been pretty disappointing.

John

She has an Android so it's not exactly a like for like test, and it doesn't support wifi calling anyway

So, doing a sim swap with your wife’s 022 sim has everything working fine, yet your 027 ported to 2d sim isn’t working?

Almost, while the 027 one does work, at times it just stops working for no reason that I've been able to determine on my end

When it stops working, the phone still shows 2degrees WiFi Calling in the status bar and I can see ipsec traffic to and from 2degrees but I can't make or receive calls until I turn off wifi calling.

I can enable it again a few minutes later and things work until randomly it doesn't

It is worth attempting a sim swap - seems you've run into a case not even 2degrees can figure out. To be fair, given the nature of this fault I am not surprised.

To be fair I don't think they've actually looked into the issue yet, that's what I was referring to with my disappointed comment

I'll have to call on Tuesday to chase up the email I sent last week

But yeah, could be a sim swap

That is why I told you to call last week and get an official fault ticket number and not to do it via email

I did call, they told me to send another email with 5 instances of the problem occurring before they (the escalation team) would look at the issue or raise a ticket.

So, I did that, and that's what I haven't had a response on yet.

OK, now that is interesting. I wonder if our ENUM database is out of sync compared to the CS database... Can you PM me that number? I can have that checked.

Actually something to add to this. I can’t SMS over WiFi calling at all to my partner who has switched over to 2degrees very recently. If I turn off WiFi calling it works fine. I don’t use SMS too often and don’t recall there being an issue other times.

That is strange

Does your partner use an iPhone? Is it sending over SMS (green) or iMessage (blue)?

Had a call from 2degrees while driving home this afternoon.

They were calling just checking up on the email and phone conversation I had, advised them I'd sent the follow up email which they found. So they've logged a ticket to their escalation team now and I should hear back by the 26th.

I take back my complaint about their support then :)
