freitasm: @activematrix We have been watching a couple of different TV series and movies and no problems here... Using a Fire TV box, Fritzbox 7490, fibre 900.


That’s encouraging then. I’ve noticed when browsing via a PC it’s talking to new siuth ehales which is far closer than California, so perhaps I should try using 2Degrees DNS in case they have a caching server...

I login my Acc on 2D website, no msg says about Prime Video.

 

Then I tried to see if I can change the plan, error msg pop up saying I am still within a promo plan.

 

Looks like I have no luck on getting it free for 12 mth, keeping the Netflix LOL

Do you think someone at 2degrees has to do some manual work to setup the Amazon promo for each customer? And they've probably received more requests than expected and falling behind.

I sideloaded the app onto the freeview androidtv, it works but performance is very stuttery.

Could someone please clarify if you are getting a monthly discount, a monthly code to apply to an Amazon account, or something different?

Well, I'm off-contract but actually quite happy to commit for 12 months. I pushed the "Resign (Re-sign?) for 12 Months" button on my 2Degrees dashboard before 8:00am yesterday (Friday), got the email about changing to the "2degrees Broadband Unlimited (Gigatown) plan" about 20 minutes later (where did the Gigatown bit come from?!)... then crickets/moreporks for over 24 hours. So, I called 2Degrees this afternoon to query. Rather long call involving being put on hold a couple of times for 5 or so minutes. It concluded with me being told that some errors had been now fixed, and that my plan change will be processed in two days time, and then I will receive the amazon link (!!!)

Morning mate,

You receive a welcome email from Amazon Prime Video once your account has been setup by 2degrees which takes you to an Amazon page asking you either to setup a new account or sign into an existing account then that’s it. Job done. The welcome email references 2degrees which indicates the partnership.

I have just signed up on a 12 month contract about 10 days ago , so I am still awaiting install and connection , I hope I can ask for this deal as I do not think it was being offered when I signed up.

Im in the same boat except i signed up about a month ago and not due to be connected for another 10 days (Stupid spark 30 days notice ugh).
I rang 2degrees yesterday and spoke to Doug who went and checked, he confirmed that it would apply to me still. But since my account wasn't activated he wasn't able to see it on there as a product, but if I had any issues to call back after connection activated and they'll "sort it out".

Same here. Logged in 3 days ago and hit the button to renew, got the confirmation email I'm committing to 12 months that also says wait and they'll be in touch soon to activate my Prime subscription, have got nothing. How long do I wait?

Gave prime another spin last night and performance was perfect. I suspect the wifi in the freeview android tv get a bit pokey after a while.
