Have a customer who has had fibre installed with 2deg

I think they may be using voip or they have their phone line plugged into the 2deg router.

All the lines on their modem are on. They did have internet, but once 2deg got the phone working the internet stopped working.
2Deg refuse to do anything about the issue and claimed everything is working at their end.

I'm having a look at the setup today but wondering if someone could suggest why the phones would interfere with the internet.

I have no technical knowledge of this but remember when we got our fibre, we had to switch to VOIP landline. I had the phone plugged straight into a wall phone jack and it caused a similar problem to what you describe. The simple solution was a filter in the line between the phone cable and the jack. Could it be that?

No the phones are not on voip.

Internet is working now. Just sorting out the pc looks like that was the issue.

If I have any further issues I will come back again

Thank you
