Hi there,

New to geekzone so be gentle :).Since around october we have started having issues with our 2d fibre connection,When downloading games or game updates on Ps4 we are almost always greeted with an error code stating cannot download the data is corrupted,we can resume the download and it will finish the download with the game being fine. Now I know what you are thinking its a ps4 issue we thought the same ourselves but...this is happening on both of our playstations We have tryed everything we can on the hardware level to no avail. So Im Here to see if anyone could help.

@NickMack could this be related to CGNAT?

Hi there Linux,

We switched to a static I.P on september the 17 to avoid cgnat issues if that helps.

I haven’t seen any issues with my PS4 Pro.

Just a few questions:
1) are you using the default 2degrees DNS servers?
2) tried the PS4 on Ethernet?

Also how old is the PS4? It could actually be a faulty hard drive.

Hi all,
Im back with an update ive done a bit more trouble shooting but problem still remains.

Tried another router
Tried with an xbox one and had similar results download randomly stopped saying installation stopped.

Ive been in touch with 2d support who have said to disable toredo filters which I find strange.Downloads have been fine since we came to 2d in may.Now all of a sudden this ?

Also worth noting that playing online games is absolutley fine.

Another 2d customer (also with a static IP) and PS4 owner here.

Cannot say I have seen what you are describing. In fact I just downloaded Battlefront 2 (@ 100GB!) and it was fine.  I'm in Auckland (Hibiscus Coast) in case its somehow geographical in some way.

Nope. None at all. I do have it wired rather than WiFi.

A couple of things you could try:

Disable IPV6 in the fritzbox.

Decrease the MTU down to maybe 1452

They wont take long and you could quickly see if they help.

Doing a google search found this link:

https://community.playstation.com/content/pdc/us/en_US/pdc-communities/support/PlayStation-Network-Support.topic.html/downloading_errorc-6zzD.html

If you tried all those things and still doesn't work. This is the real solution.
Your internet provider is actually restricting your ps4 from continuing the download. I don't know why, but I guess it's finding harmful files.
I just bought the new For Honor game and had 9.506 GBs downloading and suddenly it said data is corrupted. After deleteing and restarting the download 6 times and the same error showed up. I switched to my phone's hotspot which wasn't connected to my home's wifi and immediately the download started. I downloaded 200 MBs after 9.506 GBs for the For Honor game and switched back to my actual internet and the game then downloaded with no problems.

Have no idea on the validity of this, but might indicate it is something with an ISP?  Or CDN somewhere?

We (2degrees) are blocking nothing - Why would you spend a heap of cash to make a fast, diverse, redundant network, then more money/time/overheads to slow it down or block content.. ;-)
