zonic: http://www.nbr.co.nz/article/retail-partners-ruin-2degrees-big-reveal-spilling-phone-pricing-details-106879

they quoted my comment on the stoner phones lol.
WHOS OUT THERE??

from the article:

New boss Eric Hertz told NBR "this is a race, not a sprint."

A sprint is a kind of race, no?   I think he meant "This is an marathon, not a sprint."

hmmm so should I interpret "stoner phones" as "cheap and nasty"?  although some of the reviews for these phones arent too bad, they just arent the kind of phone I want...

maybe there will be more phones out later in the week cos I really want a slide or flip phone...

or else the E63 looks like a good alternative too!

The kind of phones you would see stoners using.
solid, sturdy phone which is cheap and has basic mobile phone functions but not much more than that.
so yeah.

/edit: having a stoner phone doesnt make you a stoner, just means you have a stoner phone

Way to go NBR! Looking for content (and quotes) from a website run by a guy that is part of the "band of amateur, untrained, unqualified bloggers"?

They dont look dropped enough and having the back held on by stickers from skateboard companies, but they look like a stoners phone would have done when first sold.

DSE website has been updated, and has a 2Degrees section, with their phones listed now.

Stores are showing them in stock, whether or not they will sell them today or not I do not know.

I'm a couple of years over 19 /cough and I knew what he ment ;-) Cheap, robust... budget...as richms said earlier usually after a few weeks they end up looking bashed up and held together with stickers. :-)

I wouldnt say it was a bad thing either to label them as stoner phones /shrug ahwell I had a good laugh.

Also warehouse stationery has the list of available phones up, no photos, and showing out of stock, but it has 1 phone listed that DS site currently does not, a Samsung C3110 slider.

Warehouse stationery is now selling the phones/sims, Dick Smith said at 10am they will start selling them.

I just went to WH stationery and got 2 $2 sims, as the chinwag one will likely not show in a timely fashion for me.
