I just went on the website so I could get an 022 number matching my vodafone, but the numbers on the site all have to start '0220' from what I can tell. I called customer care, and they knew nothing of the limitation, and couldn't say if others will be added later. This will affect how much I use 2º, as I want to use up all my VF credit before I move my number (which will be a while, as it will only be used for twitter).

Does anyone know if/when numbers starting with other than '0220' will be able to be selected on the website?

Well... why not just use up your Vodafone credit then eventually port it over to 2Degrees?

yea man, ive been trying to do it too, seems you cant yet enter all the 7 numbers you want, only one or two will come up with results.

just been on the phone with them regarding my login, so dont really want to call them again (were quite understandably busy, 3 mins i think it was) but there was some nice music playing so not complaining Laughing

Chiefie suggested you PORT your Vodafone number. This means you get to keep your original Vodafone number. Of course he also suggested you do this once your Vodafone balance is all used up.

*lol* I must say, at quick glance, it did seem that you were the op. But because it's too similar "tone".

Anyhow, I think a lot of people still aren't too sure that they can bring their number to another carrier, hence PORTING.

Sorry about the confusion there.

While I think I will eventually port the number across, I would like to stay with vodafone for a while so I can continue to receive twitter updates. I still have the chinwag SIM to come yet (got impatient and bought a $2 SIM), so I'll think of something creative for this one and try again after the other SIM is sent out.
