How do you set up voicemail if you don't do it when activating the sim?

I didn't have time to do it when activating the sim so thought I would do it later. If you call 200 though there is no option for recording your personal greeting.

Anyone?

Try calling 202 instead :-)

202 is Voicemail, 200 is Customer Care. I think option 6 is setup.

txt codes and phone numbers are completely different things. if you dial 202 and phone it you will have no problem setting up voicemail.

Westpac 202 is a sms service and completely separate from the voice service for voice mail 202.

also from the 2degrees website

New Zealand pricing
Calls to New Zealand mobiles & landlines 44c / min
Texts to New Zealand mobiles 9c each
Picture messages to anywhere in the world 50c each
Getting your voicemail 20c / call
Using the mobile internet 50c / MB
Calls to 200 (2degrees care) Free
018 Directory Enquiries $1.00 / call
0172 International Directory $1.95 / call
0800 and 0508 Toll free calls Free

from the vodafone website

voiceMail pricing
Use Cost
voiceMail monthly charge Free
Usage charge Only 20c, no matter how long it takes
Send a message to a Vodafone mailbox Free
Send a message to a mailbox on another network Charged as a normal call
callReturn monthly charge Free

so 20c per seems to be pretty standard

Setting up voicemail on 2degrees is also free if you do it when you first activate your SIM.
If you didn't set up voicemail first time around then it will cost .20c as you'll need to dial voicemail '202' and do it that way.

Cheers!
