I see Kiwibank still do not support 022 numbers, i know nothing about what thay need to do to make 022 numbers work but is it that difficult ?
I have sent Kiwibank a couple of emails and they say they may have support for 022 by the end of the first quarter of this year, a full six months after 2 degrees started.

I don't know anything about Kiwibank's internal systems, but it's probably more difficult than it would seem. Big organisations have to get sign-off from a lot people, many of whom have conflicting priorities. I suspect banks are even more strongly afflicted than most other organisations of a comparable size.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone XS + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

I ported my 021 number to 2degrees and it still works well with Kiwibank TXT banking.

It could be that Kiwibank have an issue with 022 numbers regardless of the actual provider.

Cheers

What exactly do you need to have them use the 022 number for? I dont know if ASB are able to use 2 degrees for netcode yet, as I dont have that annoying thing set up, but it was a problem for mum after moving to 2 degrees. The threat of moving banks as a result at the time got the to put the limit up to something sensible.

Ah ok, those could be useful to have.

I always wished banks would email you on things like that - seems getting a CSV or something out of them on an automated basis is like asking them to give you a million dollar interest free loan or somethin.

This. ^

Another reason may be resources - KB doesn't support Safari for Internet Banking, simply because the market share for that browser is too low to justify testing the constant updates to the system.  Perhaps it's the same with 2 degrees?  Although it's unlikely to be as complicated as the example I gave, it may be a reason for the seemingly low priority of getting 2 degrees sorted.

Also, an aside about the enquiry you made - often the person you're speaking to or emailing is going on info recieved several months ago.  At KB, the CSRs in both the email team and the call centre have no idea about any further delays until the delay is upon us!  Usually it's because the time comes when the fix was meant to be in place and we get bombarded with calls about it.

I don't mean the above is dodgy from the bank, more because the devs are working their butts off to get the issue resolved and aren't sure they won't be able to do it until the last minute.  Maybe I'm being too generous :-)

As have many people :-) The same goes for IE6 - but if you have problems down the line, expect the response "Download Firefox" :-)
