Always one to enjoy a good story, 2degrees mobile has taken this literary appreciation to a new level, announcing a new distribution partnership with REDgroup retail who operate the Whitcoulls and Bennetts stores in New Zealand.
Customers at Whitcoulls and Bennetts are now able to purchase 2degrees SIM cards as well as top-up vouchers from all of the 75 stores located nationwide.
“We’re always focused on making it simple for people to purchase 2degrees products and services whenever they want to and wherever they are,” said 2degrees CEO, Eric Hertz.
“This partnership complements the already extensive nationwide distribution footprint we have with over 2,700 outlets selling SIM cards, 6,000 outlets selling top-up vouchers and 400 retail outlets selling our handsets,” he said.
For Peter Kalan, Managing Director of REDgroup retail operations in New Zealand, the addition of 2degrees is an important extension to their product offering.
“For our customers keeping in touch with friends and family is essential. We know that maintaining a reasonable work life balance is getting more difficult for all of us, so the ability for the Whitcoulls and Bennetts stores to enable our customers to easily keep connected, be this via mobile or even e-books, is viewed as an exciting emerging service.”
The full list of 2degrees partners is: Whitcoulls, Bennetts, Dick Smith Electronics, Warehouse Stationery, PAK’nSAVE, New World, Foodtown, Countdown, Woolworths, Shell, Mobil, BP and other independently owned petrol stations served by Red Circle, along with Gilmours, Toops and Trents, who serve as the primary distributor to independent convenience retailers.
