I've decided to move to 2Degrees now that an affordable option for data is available.

I requested a number port earlier today and now get the following automated message when calling my number.

"We didn't recognise the number you dialed. Please check it and try again"

I can make outgoing calls using my 2Degrees sim and the caller ID shows as my Vodafone number.

I've spoken to someone at 2Degrees and apparently they are looking into this.

I've just tried calling my original 2Degrees number and I get the same automated message.

Ports do take some time to propagate across the providers, I'd give it a little more time and it should come right.

All fixed now :)

Tried @ 10:30 last night and was still not working.

Got a txt at 3am from a friend overseas and could receive calls when I tried just before 8am

Got a call from 2Deg just before 10 to say the issue was resolved and offer a $10 credit for the inconvenience.

Happy with the quick resolution :)
