I have a WindowsCE 5 device with an built in GPRS modem and am having some odd issues with GPRS data on 2Degrees in Christchurch.

My device can connect to the 2Degrees network and download data if I am in a good coverage area (parked in the Bishopdale Mall carpark by the 2D cell tower) but at home in Papanui the connection process times out at the authentication stage.

If I swap in a VF SIM, change the APN and cycle the power on the device I can get reliable data with VF at home.

Hi, can you PM your 2degrees number and the exact location where the signal drops, Street name and number.

Sounds like a timing out issue.
