I just set up another account for my business and noticed the field was missing. Dont use lastpass in that browser so had to be extra careful typing without the confirm field.

Never got why the new password fields are masked anyway.

networkn: Well very strange. I was signed up, now I appear to be unable to login (Bad password error). What is worse, where the blue blazes is the "I forgot my password" prompt?

read somewhere that if you forget your password , tough, you wont be able to retrieve it.

Yup I just found that in the faqs about 10 seconds ago. Thing is I know what the password is. I am not sure why I can't login.

Same issue here, I created an account that worked fine yesterday and now today says incorrect password. The original link supplied gives a bad signup code -9

Masked password fields for shoulder surfers etc etc.

Changed the upload rate from auto to something huge. The UI decided to express it in scientific notation lol but did not look too closely. ; ). There are lots of things not exactly complete like that. Yay! my tiny file uploaded. Upload status for that file is now at 100% - but speed and elapsed time continued to tick up for a least a while for some reason. Maybe some processing still going on and progress is not that good an indicator of that part.

The file has not yet appeared in 'cloud drive'. My guess is there is a separate server process taking care of that. Tomorrow perhaps. Has anyone uploaded a file and seen it in the 'cloud drive' area yet?

I have had one file start to upload, got to 100% and is still there. I suspect that its all just the flakey web interface that has demands for a certain browser, therefore making it pretty hopeless. Will re-try when there is a proper native client available.

gzt: There is no confirm password field. Are you sure you typed what you thought you typed? That field is usually provided for a reason. There are a few conventions missing on that site etc.

I know what password I used and it's not letting me in, load balancing move maybe ? :)

Look this way: they don't have to worry about storage space if nothing is being uploaded.

Has anyone that has registered with a hotmail email address received a verification email?

I just signed up with a gmail account and receieved it straight away so there's obviously an issue there.

Edit: My upload of a ~100kb file isn't uploading either; no progress.

Edit2: As I wrote the previous edit, it uploaded!

Edit3: Well now it's doing the whole "100% uploaded but still thinks it's uploading" issue.

Edit4: (see next post)

File now appears on my folder. When I try download the file it says "temporarily unavailable" under status. Oh well I guess it's on their servers at least!

I left mine like that for a couple of hours at least. When I signed out just now a browser dialog warned there was a file transfer in progress. I won't be expecting the file in the cloud when I go back but who knows.

I'm pretty sure MS Hotmail have marked all Mega emails as automatic spam. They need a fix!

I've just managed to download a file that I uploaded last night (after numerous "temporary error" messages).

Granted, the file was only 158KB...

But it works! Looking forward to using MEGA when all the teething problems are sorted.

I really wanted to give this service a thumbs up - but after signing up tonight, trying to upload 5 files under 500kb and having the browser (Chrome) show nothing in the interface beyond "pending" ....I give up.

They should of got their service right before the big hoopla.
