Hi there.

I am using the following syntax to display on my site for MY location, but I want it to display based where the device is - basically by IP address.

<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="https://maps.google.co.nz/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=-45.872561,170.527382&amp;spn=0.166372,0.363579&amp;t=m&amp;z=12&amp;output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="https://maps.google.co.nz/?ie=UTF8&amp;ll=-45.872561,170.527382&amp;spn=0.166372,0.363579&amp;t=m&amp;z=12&amp;source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small>

Any help please as to how I change this - I get I need to replace the defined location with a variable just not sure of syntax.

Thanks!

Mark

Looks like you can get a lot of what you need by a simple Google search https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=google+map+with+user+location+based+on+ip&oq=google+map+with+user+location+based+on+ip&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l3j69i64.9222j0j7&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8

As mentioned, don't expect to get very detailed data. And for users such as me (On Snap) you will see me as located in Christchurch even though I am in Napier...

With snap's IPs it seems to be pretty much luck of the draw on whether you get one registered in Christchurch, Wellington or Auckland. It'll be pretty hit and miss with a lot of users, not just on snap.
