I'm wondering what people with experience with these matters would recommend in terms of website hosting.

Signed up with 24/7 Hosting recently (how ironic their name is) and so far it's been a dreadful experience. Their "24/7 support" has never yet responded to a ticket on the same day it was created, and the two times I've ticketed on a Friday I haven't had a response until the Monday. They have never answered the phone, never called back from their callback system and now it seems they just leave their phone off the hook (has been engaged for going on 6 hours now). Today my site went down, no outages explained on their network issues page and a quick look at their Twitter and Facebook accounts confirmed to me that they are pretty much in the toilet as of the past month or so, just after I signed up.

So I'd like to find a hosting company with similar pricing that actually do what they say they do, and also given the fact these guys have blatantly falsely advertised their services, what route would I take for trying to get my money back from them given that the 14 day money back offer has expired? Disputes tribunal the only way or do I have any other options?

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place couldn't find a specific forum for hosting or the like.

I use and recommend Vetta Technologies (That is my affiliate link by the way in case you did decide to sign up) They're a growing business based in Timaru, However I believe their main web servers are in Auckland (or USA if you choose). They usually respond quite quickly to my requests (like adding php extensions to the server etc). They've grown alot recently, covering the Timaru CBD in free wifi, And also Caroline bay for #gigatowntimaru and I believe they are soon getting offices in Christchurch and Auckland too. They also provide xDSL and UFB internet

If in doubt why not sign up for a month and try it? Its only $10 +gst a month

If you want hosting in NZ I wouldn't go any further than Mothership
We are a hosting company and we use Mothership ourselves for any customers wanting NZ based hosting.

No affiliate link as they don't have to give me any incentive to refer people :)

Ask me about Web Servers, Wordpress and the internet in general.
