I am not an IT professional. Can someone tell me is that really genuine? http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/software/ms-office/auction-845322472.htm

Looks pretty dodgy to me.

Checking feedback, at least one purchaser has left bad feedback advising of fake product.

No, it's not. Shop looks like an Amazon frontend, I'd say they might buy these things and then email your key - but it will be up to you to download from some dodgy site.

Don't touch it.

No, don't buy off trademe with dodgy links.

On one line it's
100% Genuine Office 2013 Home and Business.

then further down it's
Office 2011 Home and student includes:

STAY AWAY!

You could buy it off microsoft themselves for about that price.

$219 http://products.office.com/en-us/home-and-business

Word 2013, Excel 2013, PowerPoint 2013, OneNote 2013, and Outlook 2013

or

$165 a year (or $16 a month) http://products.office.com/en-NZ/office-365-home

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, Access + 1 TB of online storage, plus 60 Skype minutes

Both seem better options than the trademe links

The most ideal way of getting Microsoft Office (if you need more features than the free edition) is to get an office 365 home/home professional subscription for non business, or Office 365 for business.

Office 2010 will only allow you to install on a PC and laptop,  Office 365 home allows many more scenarios.

Edit: And I forgot to add, you always have the latest edition/updates with the Office 365 version.

The first question in the Q&A just shows the seller is a crook.

Anyway, I mentioned this to Trade Me via Twitter and got a reply now (obviously they have my email address somewhere there):

Thanks for getting in touch with us about the listing of the Office 2010 Professional Plus 32/64bit 100%GENUINE - 845322472.

It's appreciated that you've got in touch with us about this. Trade Me wants every member on the site to have the best experience possible and this is why we have policies in place.

However, we do not have a pre-screening process for listings. This means that members of the Trade Me community need to help us out from time to time. If you come across a listing that you think might breach our listing policies, then please feel free to let us know.  You can report inappropriate listings to our site’s policing team by using the Community Watch feature which is available at the bottom of every live listing.

I've reported it, hopefully Nathan or Regan can get whomever in MS-NZ deals with IP theft to discuss it with TradeMe.

"100%GENUINE"

That reminds me of a Nigerian scam I saw that felt the need to say it was "100% legal"

Yeah...

Holy crap batman, check that website the TradeMe user seilui08 has linked in his/her profile.

http://www.faitaz-estore.com/

Is that site dodgy or what?

No contact details for the business whatsoever. Looks to me like most of the product is just drop shipping.
